Difficult problem: If you truly have a thinned heel pad, it is a tough problem. The best solution is through proper shoe wear (running sneakers are best). Also silicone heel cups should help. Avoid surgery or any type of injections.

Custom Orthotic: You can try a custom orthotics. There are injections of Juvaderm or other fillers but just you know these are off-label, meaning not FDA approved.
