Why order test?: Hi. Why was a karyotype ordered on your son? Does he have ambiguous genitalia? They ordered the test for some reason you're not disclosing. It's not a routine test to order. There are cases of ambiguous sexual differentiation that are NOT due to gross chromosomal abnormalities. We need more info. Good luck.
