Eczema?: it could be a for of eczema- you can try otc steroid creams and emollients to see if that will help. if not please see a healthcare provider.

Form of eczema?: Finger tip skin is very sensitive. Sometimes peeling is related to illness (as for you), and other times it is a manifestation of eczema, sunburn, extreme cold/dry air, chemical exposure, allergies & frequent hand washing. Use moisturizer after every wash, dry hands gently, stay hydrated. Some say soak hands for 10 min in water with honey and lemon juice. Also, cream then cotton gloves overnight!
