my son had strep a very bad two weeks ago. was in hospital 3 days to rule out blood infection. now his feet and fingers peel a d his hr goes up to 170 bpm when active. his ecg is fine.

Something wrong: You need to consult your doctor asap . There is something serious happening here including a condition known as stevens johnson which may be life threatening.

Post-strep peeling: The peeling you describe is not all that uncommon in the weeks after a strep infection.If he had a positive test, is now without fever and feeling better for the most part, i wouldn't get too upset. However, if there was not a positive strep test, i would be concerned about the possibility of a disease called kawasaki and then should have a cxr and echo (ultrasound of heart) to make sure all is ok.
