Hypertension: Treatment starts with lifestyle changes including limiting salt or sodium in the diet, getting regular exercise, not smoking, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and limiting fats in the diet, limit alcohol and try relaxation techniques. If your doctor has prescribed medication, take it as prescribed. High blood pressure may have no symptoms, but may still need treatment.
