Potential risk: Combination has been reported to cause what's called long QT, an electrical heart abnormality which predisposes you to malignant heart rhythms. I'd tell you, we always read about this in the books but I have never heard of it happening to a patient, so it is rare. Depending on what the antibiotic is for, your doc should consider switching you to another one just to be safe.
