Would not help: The common problems with intermarriage are autosomal recessive disorders. There are carrier tests for some disorders like cystic fibrosis.(delta 509 defect).However, there are thousands of metabolic pathways that may be involved, too many potential defects and these are not part of a simple chromosome study.
