Chromosome 2: p12-11.2 Deletion Syndrome can cause unusual facial features, developmental delays, small head circumference, & increased risk of kidney tumor. As much as they want: Babies are great at deciding how much exercise they need! keep them safe and let them roam. You will see cues when they are tired.

How do I manage two babies?

Dr. Scott J. Wolfson
Pediatrics 22 years experience
Double trouble: You can do it. Deep breathing and patience. Double the work and double the rewards. Timing and time management seems to be the key as I am told by my parents of twins or two born within close range of each other. Know your own limitations and don't try to live up to any thoughts or others ideas of the "super parent." don't be shy about asking others for help. Good luck!

Dr. Pam Yoder
Specializes in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Yes: In the second half of pregnacy some babies increase activity. Classic studies showed the fetus perceives vibroacoustic "sound" around 24wk. (seasoned nurses knew that for decades from accidentally making noises and watching fetal heart rate go up.) spending money on special music or sounds is not justified at this time. But having agreeable family members and mom "talk" to baby can be meaningful.

Dr. David Fein
Specializes in Preventive Medicine
Yes: Ultrasound machines are invaluable in managing pregnancy today, especially high-risk pregnancies. Not only do we measure the baby's size (head, abdomen, thigh bone), but we can evaluate all of the internal organs, from brain to bladder. We also can make sure the house is in order -- evaluating the placenta and the amniotic fluid quality, even measuring the cervical length.
