Placenta accreta: Normally, the placenta detaches easily from the uterine wall after you give birth. Occasionally, it sticks (adheres) tightly to the uterine wall and has to be removed manually or surgically. In a more serious condition, the placenta grows into or through the uterine wall. This is called Placenta Accreta. Sometimes a hysterectomy is required to resolve the bleeding from an Accreta. Best wishes!
