What exactly does it means that the placenta is covering the internal os?

Placenta previa: This is a concern because if it persists it blocks the baby from coming out vaginally and carries a risk of severe bleeding. If present early in the pregnancy it may often resolve as the uterus continues to grow. If it doesn't resolve delivery must be by cesarean section.
