Parasthesias: "Pins and needles in face, hands & arms" suggests an hyperventilation problem; which can accompany a generalized anxiety syndrome. If the symptoms were unilateral, then Thoracic Outlet Syndrome might be a consideration. A general physical examination is needed to rule out organic causes, and laboratory tests might be needed.
