Hepatitis B: Hepatitis B is a viral illness that is spread by blood or sexual contact. In this country, most babies now are vaccinated in the first year of life (birth, 2 months old, and 4 months old) to help protect them. If you have not had a Hep B vaccine, getting one is good way to prevent what can be a serious disease. For adults, there is a series of 3 vaccines (schedule depending on the brand).
