No: it is primarily a high dose of caffeine, with other more-or-less useless stuff thrown in (amino acids, vitamins etc.). There is a false belief (myth) that you can tolerate more alcohol AND that it is safer, if you drink alcohol on top of an energy drink like red bull. It IS NOT true, and in fact is even more dangerous.

It does NOT: People commonly use Red Bull with alcoholic beverages in the mistaken belief that they won't get as drunk, or that the vitamins, amino acids, sugar and caffeine (which is really the main ingredient) will allow them to be drunk yet function better (like in driving a car). These combinations are dangerous. All in all, I am not crazy about energy drinks in general, and this one in particular.
