A member asked:

Will the radiation from the fukushima disaster affect people on the west coast of the u.s.?

No: The amount of radiation is negligible compared with the background that Mother Nature provides from outer space, natural radioactivity in rocks, and even the isotopes in your own body. There is nothing "enlightened" about being frightened by disinformation, even from "friends of the environment" / conspiracy talkers. I know no physician or scientist who's at all concerned.

No: The radiation is too weak to cause a problem for us.
