Here some thoughts!: If you live in the us, then you do not need to be too concerned about what happened to beaches in japan. Yes going to beach is safe(japan water is too far and not all that high in radiation content so that even japanese can go to their beaches, other than close to the acciden fish is safe, it is checked for radiation exposure and outr waters are definitle safe. So quit worrying too much and enjoy.
