Sore throat symptoms: I can't say precisely why you are having these symptoms, but one possibility is that you had significant tonsillar inflammation with your sore throat, and sometimes, when the tonsils and the superficial blood vessels swell with inflamation the smallest vessels can break and leak a small amount of light-brown and/or blood tinged sputum. I would not worry about. Wait at least another week.

See your doctor ASAP: Don't fool around with throat infections. Untreated they can spread and lead to major complications. Please see your medical doctor or hospital emergency room right away.
