Osteoporosis: At your age you are likely having regular periods and there should be no concern about osteoporosis. That said, if you have any ongoing medical problems that could have an effect on your bone health please check with your doctor about bone loss. All else being equal the major recommendation is bone density at age 65. I don't understand that because bone loss begins within 5 years of menopause.

Osteoporsis: Osteoporosis is most common as menopause begins. It is easy to measure and easy to control. Unless you have had minor trauma fractures you need not be concerned until you go through menopause. At that time you should see if your bone health can be assessed.
