Having alot of pain and swelling that started 2 weeks after the removal of spinal fusion hardware?

Healing response: This could be healing but it is best to see your surgeon tt clarify,

Follow up needed: Please contact your Neurosurgeon or Orthopedist right away. It's not supposed to suddenly get worse 2 weeks later. Do you recall any sudden movement or lifting that may have caused re-injury? Did you just stop taking post-surgical pain meds? Even if the answer is yes, call your surgeon and get a recheck.

Get evaluated: If your pain and swelling are at the surgery site/incision then get evaluated by your surgeon and/or surgery team. You may have an early infection. Be well.

See your surgeon : You should follow up with your surgeon for a wound check and thorough evaluation.
