Food allergy: It may not be possible; however, there have been great strides in diminishing and in some circumstances eliminating certain allergic reaction to ingested substances using gradual sublingual therapy. This is generally reserved for critical substances such as antibiotics and not shrimp. Please consult an allergist specializing in treatment of food allergies.

Avoidance: there is no "cure" for food allergies at this time. You should avoid shrimp and other shellfish and carry an epinephrine device. Food desensitization ptotocols have been developed mainly for pranut.

Avoidance: Shrimp allergy is potentially a life threatening reaction to shrimp. The current treatment for shrimp allergy is avoidance and making sure one has an injectable Epinephrine available at all times.
