Allergies change: Yes! sometimes....Allergies can come and go. If you become allergic to penicillin and then wait 20 years, you only have a 20% likelihood of still being allergic to it. People with a penicillin allergy history should be tested. Most are ok after time. Some allergies don't go away, though. Inhalant allergies are constantly reinforced by more exposures, and some food allergies typically persist.

Allergy cure? : The allergic tendency is genetic. Avoidance limits symptoms, medications control some symptoms, time may alter sensitivity, but the only treatment that can actually lessen or decrease degree of allergy is specific allergen immunotherapy.
