A member asked:

Is there an injection a lymphatic cancer patient can be given to increase appetite. he lacks appetite, is having diarrhoea and is anaemic.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dexamethasone: Decadron (dexamethasone) is one if three drugs commonly used to stimulate appetite and is the only one that is injectable. The other two, Megestrol (Megace), and Marinol can be taken orally, or in the case of Marinol (medical marijuana) can be smoked.
