Warm sensation?: Is the warm sensation because of redness and swelling in the skin? If so, that would be an infection. If the warm sensation is like a burning or tingling in the area without any redness of the skin / joint then it is more likely that you have a pinched nerve and/or muscle spasm coming from your neck and radiating down your shoulder.
