A member asked:

What does a "mild prominence of adenoids in the posterior nasopharynx" indicate?

Adenoid: Absolutely nothing. Adenoids are normal tissue and you have some residual tissue in the nasopharynx. Merely an incidental observation your ENT made during your nasopharyngeal exam.

Size of adenoids: Adenoids can vary in size from mild, moderate, to severe. In general the largest adenoids are more prone to cause symptoms from nasopharyngeal obstruction.
