Gardasil indications: Merck, the vaccine manufacturer, recommends vaccination for people age 9-26 for prevention of some of the strains of HPV that cause genital warts and certain cancers. It will not treat the infection if it has already been transmitted, but may offer protection from getting infected with other strains.

You decide: The present vaccine covers 9 viral strains, including 2 that cause genital warts & 7 that are associated with cancer. It does not treat or stop a strain you have acquired but you are unlikely to have acquired them all. It could be of some benefit. However, you are not in the 9-26y age group so you would likely have to pay out of pocket. At $200+/doseX3 it is pricey. A monogamous life=no need
