A member asked:

Do certain strains of hpv eventually cause cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There are many HPV strains tied to cancer in a variety of sites. Some acquire an infection with these strains and might develop cancer, years or decades later and some who acquire the same strains will clear it from their system and NEVER get a related cancer. There is nothing inevitable about the cancer associated strains.
