It is never: ridiculous to seek a second opinion. Another doc may or may not come up w/the same diagnosis. He/she may also provide another treatment plan. Peace and good health.

Second opinion: Not at all! Any patient who has a diagnosis can ask for a second opinion if they have doubts. The diagnosis might well come back exactly the same, but at least you have peace of mind that the therapy you are getting is necessary. You would have to ask the slides to be sent to another pathologist, since oncologists do not review slides.
