Condition: A trigger thumb/ finger is a medical condition where the flexor tendon gets caught in a pulley in the hand causing the finger to lock in a flexed position it is usually treated with local injections and surgical release to eliminate the problem.

Could be: Trigger thumb can occur primarily, that is without an underlying cause. It can also occur secondarily, in associated with an underlying condition such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory conditions.
