Thumb arthritis : At the basilar joint or cmc joint where the thumb and wrist meets often presents with pain radiation to the thenar eminence the muscles that help move the thumb or along the wrist up the forearm it is a very common problem. Treatment begins conservative with ice, OTC NSAIDs , part time soft splints. And understanding how to modify activity without impacting daily use.
