Get this checked: Though it may turn out to be of no consequence, this is the type of thing that needs to be actually seen in person by a physician. Especially if you have ever consumed tobacco, though it is unlikely, the most worrisome thing would be a cancerous growth. If this is the case it needs to be removed. Call and schedule an appointment with your primary doc or an ENT of you have one ASAP.

Consult oral surgeon: A proper examination,evaluation,radiographs of the area,& a biopsy is needed with pathological examination to check the pathology.After that, you may need additional treatment. If you have a sharp tooth in the area or if you have a denture that is constantly irritating that area,you may need to be evaluated by your dentist a necessary treatment should be done.Do not wait.Seek immediate help.
