Don't blame self!: Please do not understand what they said to mean you are causing this. What they mean is that anxiety worsens everything. It's not something you are doing wrong. But it is something that a good CBT therapist can help you learn skills to manage. No one just 'knows' them but we can learn. Our body's systems are all bullied by anxiety until we do and anxiety is a human survival response to threat.
