A member asked:

I thought i read somewhere that the adrenal gland regulates thirst, besides the other more well-known things it does. how does that work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doesn't reg. thirst: Hi. The adrenals don't regulate thirst. Thirst is a sense regulated by the hypothalamus in the brain. One aspect of adrenal function is sodium and potassium regulation by the kidneys, and salt regulation ties into thirst in complex ways, but adrenals don't regulate thirst.
