Consider the source: Are the people telling you that contacts are "bad" in any way qualified to make that statement, really? As contacts allow for improved vision as you move your eyes around (as opposed to fixed glasses), many people feel that they "see better" when wearing them. Discuss your concerns with an optometrist or opthamologist for a qualified opinion.
