Many possibilities: Could be muscle, tendon, bursa problems. Other nearby parts can be felt as shoulder blade problems (neck, shoulder, mid back problems). Rarely tumors (both benign and malignant) can cause pain in the area. If it does not get better or worsens see your primary provider or a shoulder specialist.
