Common causes are an: Infection, injury resulting in a fracture or dislocation (when the bones making a joint are forced apart, from disruption of the ligaments holding them together), or injury to muscles/ligaments. Tendons or nerves; inflammation from any reason affecting the tissues in the waist.; tumors can also similar symptoms. See your pcp to get diagnosed and thence treated.
