Yes: Scapular winging is fairly common and easily diagnosed by physical examination by an experienced ORS( there are different types of 'winging' depending on underlying cause( muscle imbalance, nerve injury, etc).Firm masses attached to the scapula is another matter( lipomas, osteochondromas,and other growths are seen occasionally). Get another opinion from a board certified ORS. GL!
