I have had the mirena (levonorgestrel) coil for over 2 months and have recently had horrible pains, docs done a pregnancy test and came out neg, idea on cause of pain?

Get an ultrasound: Although there are many possible causes of pain, in this situation you need to make sure the Mirena (levonorgestrel) is still in position. That is most easily done with a transvaginal sonogram if the pelvic exam is normal.
