Many things...: Gingivitis, non-vital teeth, grinding just to name a few... but these are all guesses. You want definitive answers, and you can't get that over the internet. Call a local dentist for an appointment.

Lever or cavity: Sounds like your Orthodontist placed a fixed retainer behind your bottom front teeth. They don't last forever, needing to be periodically rebonded or replaced. If it has partially loosened it can be acting like a lever trying to displace teeth. Or you may have cavity under displaced area. Best to return to the Orthodontist that placed the 3to3 retainer.

Shifting: teeth may be shifting or something may have shifted the appliance to cause you discomfort. I would go see an orthodontist to discuss with them. You may wish to ask them about getting an essix retainer instead.

Get help!: you may have bent the wire or got something stuck under it. A fixed retainer will not last forever and needs to be checked regularly. Get to a dentist ASAP and get it fixed.
