A member asked:

How could i break my thumb with no pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very rare: Experiencing a fracture without pain would be very rare. Occasionally, i will see a patient who had an x-ray that was incorrectly interpreted as a fracture by another clinician. A patient with severe neuropathy and the inability to sense pain would be someone who could have a fracture without pain.
