Thumb sucking: Substitute with something you can take away in 2-3 months. Babies enjoy sucking but long term thumb sucking will damage dental structure. Use a pacifier but just temporarily. Usually the need to suck more passes by 6 months. But better to replace her thumb with something you can remove. All the best.

Why ?: An infant will learn to master the art of self soothing as part of basic personality development. You can choose to deny this and raise a fearful,self-conscious kid or find ways to channel their natural patterns into those you can accept.Pacifiers are a great transitional aid that can be tossed when the kid decides to give it up. Many formulas are acceptable supplements.
