Mental Health: Not knowing anything about you, especially any medical conditions, I suspect you have underlying mental health pathology such as anxiety or depression. There is no medical condition that would randomly and transiently paralyze you upon awakening (but not affect your breathing). Did these episodes occur during the week or on the weekend? Were you anxious about a stressful event such as an exam?

See your doctor...: Your concern and symptom description warrants further conversation to get more details. Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your symptoms so they can get a full accurate picture of frequency, duration, associated symptoms, medications, etc.

Get checked: Several disorders can cause paralysis. If this is persistent I would be more concerned. Depending on how long it lasts and what you are doing, you could have sleep issues, anxiety issues, or brain/seizure issues. Please have your parents take you to see your doctor as soon as possible
