A member asked:

Are ora quick mouth swap hiv rapid tests efficient/correct when done at 13 weeks post exposure? is it possible for antibodies to show up after 13weeks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: OraQuick is meant to detect HIV antibodies within a window of 3 months.. However, it may take longer for antibodies to appear. If you are at risk, then repeat the test every 3 months. It will be best to take yourself out of this high risk scenario instead. See a doctor for testing.
