Easy bleeding: Of course, the purpose of Plavix (clopidogrel) is to prevent blood clots by inhibiting the ability of platelets (tiny blood cells) to clump together. Plavix (clopidogrel) doesn't really irritate the stomach, but is dangerous because it will cause an inflamed/irritated stomach lining, caused by ulcers/gastritis, etc, with many blood vessels close to the surface, to bleed. Plavix (clopidogrel) should not be taken in these conditions.
