Surgery: If the gallbladder is "inflamed", most likely that means the gallstones have been getting stuck in the neck and being released over and over again. It could be over a short period of time (3 weeks) or long (2+years). Either way, if you have recurrent pain with this, it's best if you have the gallbladder surgically removed.
