No: Mylicon is a brand name; active ingredient is simethicone-dispersal agent that affects surface tension of bubbles-causes them to pop; has a flavoring agent as well. Gripe water was a branded preparation (originally with some alcohol included), no longer. Now, all "gripe waters" have sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), usually with fennel and/or dill, a sweetener, and often some other ingredients.
