Treat OCD/Depression: Fluvoxamine (also known as Faverin or Luvox) is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). Using an SSRI increases serotonin tone in the central nervous system. Medicines in this class are used to treat OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and depression. They work by helping people "shift set" so as to not be stuck ruminating about an obsession or a depressive theme.
