Should be no problem: There are many patients on this combination. I would not worry about serotonin syndrome.I have only seen 2 cases in 30 years of practice, and one was on zoloft (sertraline) alone.Best wishes.

Drug safety: Methylphenidate may increase blood levels & effectiveness of fluvoxamine. Although this combination could raise potential for Serotonin Syndrome, that doesn't mean it will occur. This just means that you are taking two serotonergic drugs. It most often occurs with multiple meds at high doses. However, rarely it can occur with one medication at a lower dose.
