A member asked:

At what point is it prudent to seek medical attention for a sore throat that is not causing a temperature spike?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sore throat: Fever is not a constant in any form of sore throat, whether due to bacterial or viral infection or to GERD or some other process. Whether you seek medical assistance will depend on the extent of your illness. If you have a runny nose and, upper respiratory congestion it is likely viral or allergic. I would probably ride this out and not seek medical assistance unless this goes on past 7-10 days.
