Dermatitis/fungal: Your description could be related to a fungal infection or possibly a skin condition called dyshidrotic eczema. The fungal would respond to a topical antifungal and the eczema would require a steroid and possibly a prescription would be needed. Having hands that stay moist, in contact with caustic materials could trigger as can stress when it comes to eczema. You do do trial of each med to see.
