Real life: Everybody has a few strains of HPV. Some cause common warts. Some cause genital warts. Some cause genital cancers. The good news is that surveillance keeps precancers manageable and benign warts are easily removed. There are other diseases that are hard to treat. Your friend would do well to put on his brave face and get those problem warts lasered off like a he-man. Best wishes.
