A member asked:

I have been experiencing some serious muscle pain in my arms after weaning my little one (15 mo). is this a typical symptom?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Arm pains: No. It is common for the breasts to become slightly engorged during the weaning process, which may be a little uncomfortable but should not be painful. If that pain radiates into your upper arms, particularly if you have fever or if your breasts or arms are warm, I would be concerned about infection. See your doctor.
